STAMFORD – Gail G. Trell always knew about her grandfather starting the United Coat and Suit Co., a women’s apparel factory on Beckley Avenue that was demolished to make way for Interstate 95. But Trell didn’t realize until recently the tools available to delve further into her Jewish heritage. A member and former past president of the Jewish Historical Society of Fairfield County, Trell recently inherited a scrapbook from her aunt she hopes will be a springboard to learn about the immigration experience of her mother, Mary Adler. “I think our generation is going to be much more informative to future generations than ever before,” Trell said. “When we were younger, we never thought to ask our relatives these types of questions.
